Senior / Experienced Drafter

The Role
This role is responsible for leading drafting delivery on rail projects, producing high-quality coordinated design documentation, and working independently to support project outcomes. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the delivery of rail drawings and models across project stages.
• Take ownership of drafting deliverables, priorities, and deadlines.
• Work independently to develop coordinated drafting solutions.
• Lead drafting coordination across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Review and approve drawings for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Identify delivery risks and drive practical drafting solutions.
• Ensure compliance with rail, client, and company standards.
• Oversee CAD/BIM model coordination and drawing production.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior drafting staff.
• Support project planning, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.

About You
You are a senior drafting professional with strong rail project experience, capable of working independently, leading drafting deliverables, and contributing to high-quality, coordinated project outcomes.

• Proven experience as a Senior or Experienced Drafter, ideally within rail projects.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage drafting priorities.
• Demonstrated experience leading drafting deliverables on complex projects.
• Proficient in relevant CAD and/or BIM software and drafting systems.
• Strong understanding of rail, client, and company drafting standards.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality documentation.
• Ability to review drawings and identify errors, clashes, and risks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Willingness to mentor junior team members and support team capability.
